In my weekly meeting for my upcoming trip to London (May 19 to mid-August), we were warned "not to dress like Americans." I asked the professor how Europeans dress, and he said he didn't really know, except that they wear slacks and khakis more than blue jeans. If anyone can tell me how the Brits dress, I'd really appreciate it. If it's anything like Dieter on Sprockets
, though, count me out.
UPDATE: After looking at Oxford's
Virtual Tour, I've come to the conclusion that the Britons dress like they did in the 1980s, judging by the pictures I've seen of my dad. Plain, bold colors and rugby shirts appear to predominate. I'm thinking my Hawaiian shirt would look out of place.
