Virginia may well get its own Tax Me More Fund soon, according to the Washington Times. Virginians (or anyone else, I suppose) who believes that the commonwealth's budget problems require higher taxes can show their support through this program. As added incentive, all those who donate get their name posted on the Virginia tax department's website. The bill's sponsor, Delegate M. Kirkland Cox of Colonial Heights is a sneaky bastard. The article says that in the past, Virginia received a check for $2000, but that was it. Hopefully, this'll shut those people in Richmond up who insist that we raise taxes and not finish phasing out the car tax.
