I went to see the second night of the premiere of the play my friend Kelly is in, called My Mania. It's about bipolar disorder (manic-depressive), and it was actually really good! I had half-expected it to be one of these preachy things where they mourn the fact that some people can't deal with the fact that the world's a tough place. To my pleasant surprise, it actually showed ten characters dealing with different manifestations of the disorder, without any sermonizing at all.
